The long conversion and upgrade process for Microsoft Flight Simulator addons continues, as we convert to FSX and enhance products in the process. I will be assisting Holger with Misty Fjords: my task is to re-create the following airfields:
- CYPR – Prince Rupert (we’ll likely do a bit of the cruise ship docks as well)
- CZST – Stewart
- PANT – Annette Island
- PAKT – Ketchikan (likely include cruise ship terminal as well)
If you have any photos of these fields, or data, we may be able to use this information. Even better if you live in one of those areas, and can take photos at our direction, that would be awesome.
Release date for this product is not set, and is certainly some time away.
Hi Jon. I am assuming you meant email address and not home address.
I have a few pics of the ketchikan area that I took while on a cruise from Seattle. I’d be more than happy to share what I have.

Will the Ketchikan airport be done with the three levels? I did that with SBuilder a year ago but had to use roads for the taxiways up to the runway. I could not get the flattens fitted properly so the erase key was used.
Regards,
Dick

Hi Dick,
It’s not so much three levels, as you know, as sloped. We are considering options as to how we might implement this unique feature, it’s quite cool.

Has anyone considered making Boundary Bay for FSX? V+ has CYPK so why not CZBB?

Yup, we’ve considered it. The airports we choose are based on (a) user requests, (b) whether we have a volunteer who is willing to create a relationship with the airport authority and take thousands of photographs and (c) whim. And maybe (d) amount of effort.

Hi Jon,
I have several pictures of the cruise terminal, waterfront and Creek Street.
More than glad to send them to you. They are pretty good quality and about 17MB total.

Any updates on a release date for FSX?

Misty is in line behind Tongass Fjords (which is close to release, if not released), and FTX NA BLUE from ORBX. Drop by http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=231 and query there, Holger will likely be able to give you more accurate info. Thanks for your interest …
