		<description>I'm not so sure I like the radical approach of cutting all backwards compatibility because this means that the half year pre-leading to FS11 (who will develop for a 'dead' sim?) we won't get much in freeware or payware add-ons and in the past this was the time when we got some of the best add-ons.

But I couldn't more agree with you when you say that it's time to move on.</description>

		<description>The original FSX release said it was backward compatible with FS2004. Indeed it was, except for the usual FS8 things. Thus for a year we had known backward compatibility. Now we are told that the rules have changed and that SP2 may not allow some previously functioning things to work. 

The topper is an "official" statement that there will be no further fixes. WYSIWYG. Nasty financial decision based upon revenues to-date.

I am sure that the Community Talent will come to the rescue if anything crops up.</description>
