After installing Vista update on 12th Nov 08 MS Flight Simulator X deluxe stopped working with the message “The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the missing component”
I uninstalled Flight Sim X and re installed it …. no change still the same. I then checked to find that the Vista update KB954430 contained guess what?!! MSXML4 SP2 security update marked as important!! “Well done Microsoft ”
Another small program need for Microsoft Flight Simulator X is called FSUIPC4. When I tried to install this I received a message ” Problem. Cannot edit the DLL.XMLfile to activate FSUIPC. Please check the documentation and do this manually”

Hope someone can help ! I cant be the only one with this problem
    Cheers Nudge

    HI Nudge,

My FSX continues to work fine with Vista (64). YOu may want to contact MS support directly or drop by the forums at http://www.avsim.com.

FSUPIC is not required for FSX, it provides extra functionality that may help you link to other addon programs. It’s put out by Pete Dowson, and you can learn more at http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

    Happy flying, sooon I hope.

I just upgraded OS from XP Pro to Vista 64 expecting a significant performance upgrade in FSX. Just the opposite happened. Screen is now jumpy even thought OS is now addressing 4G of memory. Any suggestions?
